Where do I send my donation?

Donations can be mailed directly to your local American hospice or to our main office:

What will my donation be used for?

Donations will be used in your community to spread the word about hospice through, community outreach, educational programs, and special events.

Will my donation be used locally?

Yes, donations will be used in your American hospice community.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Yes. You will receive an acknowledgement letter to use for tax purposes

Will I know who donated in memory of my loved one?

Yes, you will receive the names of those who donated.

Can I get a leaf or plaque in memory of my loved one?

Yes. A few months after the death of your loved one, AH Hospice Foundation will let you know if you are eligible for a leaf or plaque.

What do I do if I’m eligible?

You will receive information and instructions regarding this from AH Hospice Foundation.

When are memorial services or Giving Tree ceremonies scheduled?

These ceremonies are scheduled by each local American hospice at regular intervals. You will receive an invitation and you can call your local American hospice for more information.

Can I have donations made to the hospice in lieu of flowers?

Yes, just request donation information from the local hospice.

Do you participate in matching gift programs?

Yes. Check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program. If they do, just request the information from your HR department. AH Hospice foundation will take it from there.

Can I get a leaf or plaque for my mother (or loved one) even if she wasn’t a patient?

Absolutely. Simply have donations sent to AH Hospice Foundation or your local American hospice.

Our family wants to have a special donation in honor of my mother’s birthday (or any other occasion). How can we do that?

When you send in your donation, please write out any special instructions and we will make sure they are honored.
