Gifts of Time and Talent:
The foundation is in constant need of individuals who can share their time and talents by volunteering.
Volunteers are an essential part of hospice providing many services for our patients, families and staff. Volunteering is a rewarding way to serve your community.
Volunteers wear many hats, which includes sitting with patients to allow the caregiver/family member to take a break, reading to a patient, writing notes for a patient or just providing a quiet presence.
Our volunteers work in our inpatient units, offices, at ceremonies and special projects. Each volunteer is given assignments that best suit his or her special talents and time.
Volunteer training
New volunteers attend an extensive orientation before they are assigned.
Volunteers are needed for:
• Spiritual care
• Bereavement
• Patient visits
• Administrative duties
• Special events such as memorial services, Tree ceremonies, fundraising
Please contact your local hospice if you would like to volunteer your time and talents.
